Clinical Practice

Effective Practitioner is moving to Turas Learn

This site will close at the end of March 2024

You will find more information soon on our Turas page at: https://learn.nes.nhs.scot/69961/effective-practitioner

The Effective Practitioner is constantly reflecting on, consolidated and developing their clinical practice. Clinical Practice is the first of the four pillars of practice for professionals delivering direct care. This section contains a series of work-based learning activities and resources across several interlinked priority areas.

Within this section you will discover links to key initiatives and drivers relating to health and care. Each section will allow access to current policy and legislation (when relevant), learning resources and reflective activities.

To get the most from this section we suggest that you consider your service users' needs and select two or three priorities to begin which are clearly relevant to your role. We suggest you also select at least one priority that goes beyond your current role, as this may broaden your professional development and enable you to meet future healthcare needs. You can then revisit the site over time to address additional priorities.
